Portfolio of Design Features

The Following Links feature Design Features that I Have implemented into this website: Using Java Script, CSS, HTML and Video.

Mini Photo Gallery
This shows a simple photo gallery with user friendly navigation features. I created a simple and beautiful slide show gallery that can be easily integrated into your web site. The slide show has the options to view a grid of thumbnails, pause the slide show, and navigate through the pictures. The thumbnail grid will slide out from the top and allow the user to navigate through a set of thumbnails.

Spice Up Your Menu
In this category, we will introduce some quick and interesting methods around web development and web design. This design gives you an example of how to spice up your menu by adding a neat hover effect to it. The idea is to slide an image out to the right when hovering over a menu item. Several image sliding effects/ sequences are available for this.

Space Gallery Slide Show
Another Slide show gallery using Java Script, CSS and user friendly navigation. It features a top CSS menu for additional navigation links.

Sliding Background Image Menu withJQuery and Css Top Menu
This is our Home Page and features another jQuery menu. This menu has several panels, each one corresponding to a different background image that will show on all panels when you hover over a panel label. Also, a submenu will slide out from the bottom. This menu comes with some configuration possibilities, such as size of the image, the hover effect and custom default states. I have added an additional drop down CSS Menu at the top of this page.

Sliding Carousel
This is a Sliding Carousel with auto display, pause and select features that allows a customer to select a purchase and click the item for more details. The default sequence for the preview slides is set to auto but can be paused either by clicking on the slide or the thumb nail. Image size and sequence have many options available. I used WowSlider to create and implement this slide show. This application leads you through the creation, implementing steps plus gives you the source code with instructions on how to embed into your web page.

Sliding Carousel
Wow slider Full Panel Display. This is another example of using the WowSlider to create larger image panels to display on a web page. Images of course can have a variety of sizes and can be clicked on like a menu to navigate to additional details. Sequence of slide transitions have many options. This one is set on manual click by user but can be set for automatic transition with pause with hover effect like the Sliding Carousel above.

JWPlayer Flash Video
I used this JWPlayer to present Flash video on the website. This application leads you through creation and implementing steps. It then gives you the embedding code to insert into the web page. Options for various navigation skins are available as well.

Slide Down Box Menu
In this design feature I have implemented a unique sliding box navigation using JQuery and CSS3. The idea is to make a box with the menu item slide out, while a thumbnail pops up. I have also included a submenu box with further links for (or some) one of the menu items. The submenu will slide to the left or to the right depending on which menu item we are hovering.

YouTube Video API
This is a YouTube Video API which I have inserted into one of our web pages to feature YouTube videos that can be viewed within our website. The YouTube player allows visitors to remain on our site. You do need to apply for a Google YouTube license for this but it is free and the process of applying is painless and simple. Open the source code for that link page and you will see the information in the Header section.

ECover Software Designs

This link features some of the beautiful Professional level of E Cover Software Designs that I can create. I have used this specifically in our Bookstore but these have great potential for many additional Product Promotions. There are several other product presentations that are not reviewed on this page link but this serves as a quick glimpse of the quality available.

Flash Website Intro

Flash Intro for Bookstore

The above two links provide Flash Introductions to the website or to the Bookstore if bookstore is closed. The first is a Flash video intro; while the second link consists of a Flash slide intro. Both can be embedded into a website. Both have redirect links at the conclusion of the presentations.
Note: to launch the Flash Video intro. for a website the Flash Video page (or intro) has to become the home page or index page because this is where you want visitors to arrive. This necessitates redirecting all internal links that normally return back to the homepage to be renamed.. so that visitors already within the site do not return to the Flash Intro. (so special considerations for this) It does create a grand entrance with lots of video and music options however for web designers and clients. Additional thoughts: Some CSS and JQuery pages almost have the same actions without using Flash files.
